Do you really need supplements and pills to clean out your colon? I think if you are eating enough fiber to begin with probably not. Most of us do not eat enough fiber in our diets. And those fiber supplements add some, but really you should be eating foods with high amounts of fiber. Things like whole grains, fruits and vegetables. I read once about a person that had severe hemorrhoids.
They were going to be scheduled for surgery to take care of it but before they did the surgery their doctor wanted them to eat a ton of fiber rich foods. By eating just a half a head of iceberg lettuce a day they were able to relieve their symptoms and no longer needed surgery. And iceberg lettuce doesn’t even have a ton of other vitamins in it, but it is easy to eat and cheap. It doesn’t say you can’t put anything on it either. Not that I would drown it in a creamy dressing, but at least a low fat or vinaigrette dressing couldn’t hurt and would help get all of it down. This sounds like an easy solution without having to sit at home for 48 hours while your colon gets rid of all the junk that you let build up.
